State Park Region hosts 17th Annual Winter Run Series beginning
January 2012. The series will begin Sunday, January 8 at Heckscher

The NYS Office of
Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation announced that
Montauk Point State Park will be offering a series of walks
on weekends through April to see wintering seals. A State Park
naturalist will lead visitors on a 2-3 hour leisurely beach
walk to an area where up to four species of seals can be observed.
